Ramipril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitor medication primarily used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) and heart failure. It is also prescribed to improve survival after a heart attack and to reduce the risk of cardiovascular events in patients with a high risk of heart disease.
