hazard ratio

How is the Hazard Ratio Interpreted?

A hazard ratio of 1 indicates no difference in hazard rates between the two groups. An HR greater than 1 suggests that the event is more likely to occur in the exposed group, while an HR less than 1 indicates that the event is less likely to occur in the exposed group. For instance, an HR of 2 means that the exposed group has twice the risk of experiencing the event compared to the control group.
