The Bacillus Calmette-Guérin (BCG) vaccine is the only available vaccine against TB. Although it offers limited protection against pulmonary TB in adults, it is highly effective in preventing severe forms of TB in children, such as miliary TB and TB meningitis. Ongoing research aims to develop more effective vaccines to provide broader protection across all age groups.
