omega 3 fatty acids
What are the Types of Omega-3 Fatty Acids?
There are three main types of omega-3 fatty acids:
1.
Eicosapentaenoic Acid (EPA)
2.
Docosahexaenoic Acid (DHA)
3.
Alpha-linolenic Acid (ALA)
EPA and DHA are primarily found in marine sources, while ALA is found in plant sources. The human body can convert ALA into EPA and DHA, but the conversion rate is relatively low.
