Time Trade-Off (TTO): This method involves asking participants to choose between living a shorter time in perfect health versus a longer time in a less desirable health state. Visual Analog Scale (VAS): Participants rate their health state on a scale, typically ranging from 0 (worst imaginable health) to 100 (best imaginable health). Discrete Choice Experiments (DCE): Participants are presented with a series of choices between different hypothetical scenarios, allowing researchers to infer their preferences.
