Risk ratios (RR) and odds ratios (OR) are measures used to quantify the strength of the association between exposure to a risk factor and the occurrence of an outcome. The risk ratio compares the risk of the outcome in the exposed group to the risk in the non-exposed group. The odds ratio compares the odds of the outcome occurring in the exposed group to the odds in the non-exposed group.
