Interferon Gamma Release Assays (IGRAs) are blood tests used to detect immune responses to Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) infections. These assays measure the release of interferon-gamma (IFN-γ), a cytokine, from T-cells in response to specific antigens associated with MTB.
