TraceTogether works by using Bluetooth signals to detect other nearby devices that have the app installed. When two devices come into proximity, they exchange anonymized and encrypted data. If a user tests positive for COVID-19, health authorities can use this data to trace and notify individuals who may have been exposed, thereby facilitating timely quarantine and testing measures.
