The increasing incidence of fungal infections, particularly in immunocompromised patients, coupled with the rise in antifungal resistance, poses a significant public health challenge. Antifungal stewardship aims to optimize the treatment of fungal infections, minimize adverse effects of antifungal therapy, and limit the development of antifungal resistance.
