Equity Concerns: QALYs may inadvertently prioritize interventions that benefit younger, healthier individuals over those that benefit older or more severely ill patients. 3. Simplification: The single index nature of QALYs may oversimplify complex health states and ignore other important factors such as caregiver burden or social impact.
