What are the Symptoms of Campylobacter Infection?
The symptoms of a Campylobacter infection, also known as
campylobacteriosis
, typically appear within 2 to 5 days after exposure. They include diarrhea (often bloody), abdominal pain, fever, nausea, and vomiting. The illness usually lasts about a week, but in some cases, it can lead to more severe complications such as
